U-Freight expands in Hong Kong

Forwarder will increase size of its logistics subsidiary in Hong Kong.

Freight forwarder U-Freight Group will increase the size of its logistics subsidiary in Hong Kong and has brought the operations of its air freight import and export departments into a single location within the Special Administrative Region.
At the U-Freight Logistics facility in Tsing Yi, the company is adding another 39,000 square feet of warehousing, effectively doubling the size of the existing facility.
U-Freight Logistics will also occupy the entire facility where it has a presence in Chuan Kei, and plans to equip the 21,000-square-foot warehouse with full air conditioning to serve the needs of the electronics industry.
The forwarder’s Air Import Department has moved into the same warehouse as its Air Export Department at Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.
“Bringing together our air freight import and export operations in Hong Kong will delivery synergy benefits, enable us to streamline our operations and offer even more efficient airfreight consolidation services, inbound and outbound,” said U-Freight Chief Executive Officer Simon Wong in a statement.
