Mallory Alexander to manage 243-acre logistics site in North Dakota
Memphis-based Mallory Alexander International Logistics has signed an interim agreement with the City of Bismarck, N.D. to develop, operate and manage a 243-acre logistics facility adjacent to the Bismarck airport.
The Northern Plains Commerce Center will have intermodal capabilities with rail and highway service, warehousing and transloading facilities. Rail carload service will be provided by Burlington Northern Santa Fe via a direct connection with Dakota, Missouri Valley and Western railroad. Highway shipments have access to the facilities from Interstate 94.
The interim letter of agreement provides for a ramp-up period of up to three years until a long-term agreement can be established.
On top of management of the center, Mallory will provide warehousing, cross-docking and third-party logistics and international freight forwarding for shippers.
