NORTH EUROPE/CANADA CONFERENCES RAISE BUNKER CHARGES
The Canadian Atlantic Westbound and Eastbound Freight Conferences have announced an increase in their fuel charges, effective July 1.
The revised charges will be $53 (U.S.) per 20-foot container and $106 per 40-foot box.
In May, the corresponding charges were $50 per 20-footer and $100 per 40-footer. Effective June 1, the charges were lowered to $45 per 20-foot container and $90 per 40-foot unit.
The members of the north Europe/Canada conferences are Atlantic Container Line, Canada Maritime, Cast, Hapag-Lloyd and Orient Overseas Container Line.
