FEDEX UPDATES GERMANY/U.S. CONNECTIONS
FedEx Express today will begin five weekly direct flights from its Frankfort hub to its Memphis hub, the company said.
FedEx is consolidating its two daily A310 flights from Germany to other European gateways into the direct Frankfurt/Memphis service.
The new flight route will enable FedEx to connect additional German cities to its FedEx Express freighter network, covering more than 70 percent of Germany’s gross domestic product with a next-day 10:30 a.m. service to other destinations throughout North America, Latin America and Canada. FedEx said that German companies in existing FedEx Express freighter-served areas could benefit from pick-up time improvements of up to three hours.
