OZAKI TO REPRESENT PORT OF BALTIMORE IN JAPAN
Takatoshi “Tac” Ozakim will represent the Port of Baltimore in Tokyo, covering the Japan and Southeast Asia markets.
“His vast experience in the Far East and his considerable knowledge of Maryland and the port make ‘Tac’ an ideal candidate to fill this position,” said the Maryland Port Administration’s director of marketing Roy Schleicher.
Ozaki, who worked as an international business consultant and also as the Maryland Port Administration’s assistant regional manager for Japan and Korea between 1974-1990, toured the Port of Baltimore’s facilities earlier this month.
“The computerization of cargo handling is a major change and very impressive,” Ozaki said during his recent visit. “The strategic plan, which is now in place at the port, is clearly generating new business.”
Ozaki will return yearly to the MPA to keep current with port and industry changes.
