Sapra to lead IIE’s Lean Division

   Aman Sapra, senior project manager for York, Pa.-based supply chain consulting firm St. Onge Co., was elected president of the Institute of Industrial Engineers’ Lean Division, starting in May 2013.
   In this position, Sapra will coordinate the various activities undertaken by the division and work with IIE headquarters for activities support. The Lean Division oversees activities such as the Lean Student Paper Competition, the IIE Lean Teaching Award, and the Lean Best Practice Award.
   “The IIE is a robust and fruitful organization that benefits the careers of all of its members through education and fellowship,” Sapra said.
   Sapra has more than nine years of experience in strategic logistics, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. His knowledge of inventory strategy and logistics has helped clients throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
