CMA-CGM REPLACES SHIP IN PACIFIC EXPRESS LINK

CMA-CGM said that it is deploying the Australian
Enterprise, a 2,150-TEU containership, to replace the CMA Djakarta, a ship that caught
fire off Malta in July.
The replacement vessel will be phased into the 15-ship "North
China/Japan Transpacific Express" weekly service operated by CMA-CGM.
The North China/Japan Transpacific Express "pendulum" service
covers the transpacific and the Asia-Europe trades.
CMA-CGM said that the owner of the CMA Djakarta has declared general
average on the damaged ship. The vessel was carrying Asia/Europe cargoes when it caught
fire.
