U.S./China trade frictions hit Japanese shipping stocks
The stocks of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) came under pressure on the Tokyo stock exchange today after Friday’s decision by the U.S. administration to restrict garment imports from China, Reuters reported.
NYK’s stock declined 3.3 percent to 590 yen and MOL’s fell 4 percent to 626 yen.
