ITC prepares sunset reviews for Chinese products
The U.S. International Trade Commission said it will determine whether to continue antidumping duty orders on the chemical chloropicrin and greige polyester/cotton printcloth from China.
The orders for protective tariffs were implemented five years ago and are due to expire under international law unless the Department of Commerce determines that foreign producers are still underpricing their goods to drive U.S. companies out of business.
The ITC voted to conduct an expedited “sunset” review on chloropicrin, but said it would conduct a full, public in the clothing case.
