AOTOS awards go to Davis, Handy, Scioscia
The United Seamen's Service (USS) said its 2005 Admiral of the Ocean Sea (AOTOS) Awards will go to Ron Davis, president of the Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association (MEBA), Gen. John W. Handy, U.S. Air Force, commander of the U.S. Transportation Command, and Anthony A. Scioscia, president of APM Terminals North America.
Nominees for the awards were solicited by the USS from over 150 maritime management, labor and government officials, said Barbara Yeninas, AOTOS coordinator.
This year's AOTOS recipients will be honored at an industry dinner on Nov. 4 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers.
