DCL IMPROVES TRANSIT TIMES THROUGH NEW INLAND SERVICE SCHEDULES
Direct Container Line, the non-vessel-operating common carrier, said it has significantly improved transit times through restructured inland service schedules from Montreal and Toronto into Miami and New York.
The new inland service schedules will improve DCL's transit times for many of its services by up to 15 days, the Carson, Calif.-based company said. The changes will impact destinations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America, as well as the transatlantic, said Bruce Ericson, vice president of sales.
Prior to the new inland service schedules, DCL had routed shipments from Montreal and Toronto into Chicago, where cargo would be transloaded for service to worldwide destinations.
