CENTRAL EXPRESS TO OPEN LOUISVILLE CENTER
Con-Way Central Express will open a high-volume freight assembly center
in Louisville, Ky., July 10.
The 24-acre site will allow the less-than-truckload carrier to improve
freight delivery times in a number of markets throughout the South and Midwest.
The new facility's expanded capacity will enable sister company Con-Way
Southern Express to create 60 new next-day delivery lanes between Louisville and
Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis, Tenn.; Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis, Ind.; St.
Louis; Dayton and Columbus, Ohio; and Springfield, Ill.
David Dennison is service center manager for the new facility. He joined Con-Way
in 1987 and was promoted to service center manager at Louisville in 1994.
