CHOI NAMED PRESIDENT OF HANJIN SHIPPING
South Korea’s Hanjin Shipping has promoted its chief executive vice-president, Won-pyo Choi, to the position of president.
The position of president had been vacant since July, when Chan-gil Kim resigned for health reasons.
Choi’ s career within the Hanjin transportation and industrial conglomerate has spanned 36 years, including 17 years experience working with Hanjin Shipping. Prior to joining Hanjin Shipping in 1986, Choi spent 19 years at group affiliates Hanjin Transportation and Korean Air.
