Panalpina appoints senior executives in North America
Panalpina has named H. Peter Merath regional head of operations and Daniel Trefzer regional head of finance for North America.
Merath has been with Panalpina for 42 years. He held senior positions in Europe, Canada and the United States, including director of oil and gas and projects at the group’s headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Most recently, Merath headed global mining business development for Panalpina.
Trefzer has been with Panalpina for 10 years and has worked as controller for Panalpina’s European and Middle Eastern subsidiaries. Most recently, Trefzer was head of corporate information systems and corporate planning at the group’s Basel head office.
Panalpina operates 480 branches in 74 countries and employs 12,000 people worldwide.
