Duluth Seaway Port Authority names business director and Port of Long Beach gets new communications chief, while TIACA appoints five to board.
The Duluth Seaway Port Authority has named Kathryn “Kate” Ferguson director of business development. She will be the first point of contact with the port authority for companies pursuing domestic and international trade opportunities. Prior to her appointment, Ferguson was a supply chain informatics senior specialist for Essentia Health. She also spent nine years with Great Lakes Fleet and later with Canadian National Railway.
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners has appointed Noelia Rodriguez, former chief communications officer for Metro Los Angeles, as the managing director of communications at the Port of Long Beach. She has previously worked in communication roles at the White House and Los Angeles Mayor’s Office.
The International Air Cargo Association has elected five new directors to its board. They include Amy Smith, head of customs and regulatory affairs at DHL Express (USA); Chee Meng Wong, senior vice president of cargo services for SATS; Russi Batliwala, chief executive officer of Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Ltd.; Oliver Gritz, chief commercial officer in Europe for Worldwide Air Logistics Group; and Greg Guillaume, senior vice president of strategic development for Atlas Worldwide Holdings.
