Order Logistics acquires JAT Transportation
Illinois-based Order Logistics Inc. said Thursday it has acquired JAT Transportation.
The company said in a statement that the move will allow its shipper customers to reduce inventories and lower their “total landed” costs by moving to dedicated services contracts with carriers to ensure capacity, on-time service and achievement of service location requirements. JAT, a truckload carrier also based in Illinois, focuses on short- to medium-haul trips, averaging about 550 miles. JAT carries everything from inbound supplies for plant locations to consumer goods, paper products and finished manufactured goods.
