Cargo 2000 gets new leadership
Members of Cargo 2000 have elected Mike Fountain chairman of the cargo process improvement and quality control initiative of the International Air Transport Association.
Fountain, chief executive of global freight management at Exel, replaces Roger Gibson vice president of cargo at United Airlines. He will serve a two-year term along with new Vice Chairman Wolfgang Schmitz, a senior vice president at Lufthansa Cargo, who takes over for Guenter Rohrmann, the head of global customer solutions at DHL.
