Operations resumed Monday following the end of the government shutdown, but it’s still not business as usual.
After President Donald Trump on Friday announced an end to a 35-day federal government shutdown, the International Trade Commission resumed operations Monday, but won’t accept document filings until Wednesday as it reschedules active cases and previously scheduled deadlines affected by the shutdown, the ITC announced.
“Specific schedules for each investigative proceeding, including those pending before an administrative law judge, will be revised and new schedules posted,” the ITC said. “We hope in a week or more for revised schedules to be finalized.”
ITC’s Electronic Document Information System (EDIS) will go live on Wednesday, but the commission is requesting that parties in specific proceedings wait until revised deadlines are scheduled to file documents in a proceeding, the ITC said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as the commission resumes operations.”
