MSC terminal in Antwerp orders 29 Kalmar straddle carriers
MSC Home Terminal in Antwerp, Belgium, a joint venture between Mediterranean Shipping Co. and Hesse-Noord Natie NV, has ordered 29 straddle carriers from Kalmar Industries.
All 29 of Kalmar’s Edrive Esc carriers can stack containers three high, and 15 of the units are equipped with extendable twinlift spreaders, which have 50-ton capacities.
The straddle carriers will be delivered late this year and early in 2005.
