PILOT AIR FREIGHT MOVES TO LARGER MARYLAND SITE

Pilot Air Freight, a transportation and logistics company based in Lima, Pa., has moved to a new 8,040-square-foot site in Glen Burnie, Md., nearly twice the size of Pilot’s former facility.

The new location will better serve customers in Baltimore, Washington, and Northern Virginia, the air carrier said.

“Even in a tough economy, our business continues to grow. And, as a result, we increased our staff by 40 percent over the last year,” said Tony DeSoto, Pilot district manager for Baltimore. “In addition, as our local account base increases amid fierce competition, the new facility offers us room to expand, ensuring that we will be at the site for years to come.”

The move to the new facility is set for Dec. 1.
