DHL begins two Chinese overnight air express routings
DHL, a provider of express delivery and logistics services, has announced two direct overnight air cargo express services, one between Shanghai and the United States and another between Beijing and Hong Kong.
The new daily Shanghai/U.S. flight will be operated by Northwest Airlines with a Boeing 747-200 freighter aircraft. DHL's new four-times-weekly Beijing service will use a Cathay Pacific A330-200 passenger aircraft from DHL's Central Asian hub in Hong Kong.
The Shanghai/U.S. service 'reinforces our confidence in China, which is one of the fastest growing markets in our global network, registering an annual growth rate of 50 percent to 60 percent in 2004,' said Jerry Hsu, president of DHL Express for Greater China and Korea.
