U.S., Gabon sign open-skies agreement
The United States and Gabon signed a free trade agreement for air transport between the two nations, the State Department said.
The open-skies agreement reduces government controls on many commercial decisions such as routes, capacity, frequencies, and pricing and creates opportunities for alliances.
It also includes so-called seventh freedom rights for all-cargo operators, allowing airlines access from third countries without having to return to their home country first.
