FEDEX, LA POSTE TO COORDINATE IN EUROPE
Federal Express Corp. and the La Poste Group's Parcels and Logistics Holding Co. said Tuesday that have agreed to strengthen their respective services within Europe.
Effective Jan. 1, customers of the La Poste Group's Chronopost International will have access to the FedEx air network, while FedEx customers in several European markets will benefit from Parcels and Logistics Co.'s European ground infrastructure.
“FedEx is experiencing strong momentum in our region, with excellent growth rates,” said Robert W. Elliott, president of FedEx for Europe, the Mideast and Africa. “This agreement will build on that momentum with potential new sources of volume and revenue.”
The deal also expands the access of FedEx's Asian customers to the expanded European network, the company said.
