HANJIN UPGRADES CAPACITY ON ASIA/EUROPE NEX SERVICE
Hanjin Shipping has introduced the first of a series of 5,750-TEU containerships into its Asia/Europe NEX container service.
The first 5,750-TEU vessel, the “Hanjin Basel,” made its maiden voyage at Shanghai, China on March 20. It replaces a 4,500-TEU vessel.
The NEX service has a rotation of Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Colombo, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming, Senator Lines and Sinotrans also take space on the NEX ships of Hanjin.
