CATHAY PACIFIC PLANS FREIGHTER FLIGHTS TO MILAN
Cathay Pacific Airways said it plans to start freighter flights between Hong Kong and Milan on August 4.
The twice-weekly service, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays, will include stops in Delhi and London. It will return to Hong Kong non-stoop from Milan every Thursday and Monday, arriving the following morning.
The Hong Kong Shippers' Council welcomed the service announcement, saying the move would boost trade between Hong Kong and Milan.
'Milan is the fashion capital of the world. Cathay Pacific, in introducing a vital link between Hong Kong and Milan, will promote trade flows between the two cities,' said Jeffrey Lam, vice chairman of the shippers' association. 'This will also facilitate the development of the local fashion, garment and design industries.'
