Web site for logistics professional advancement launched
E.P. Campbell & Associates, a Wall, N.J.-based consulting and training company, has launched an Internet-based source for educational and professional advancement in transportation and logistics, GlobalCamel.com.
Gene Campbell, a former Sea-Land Service executive and founder of the site, said the Web site would serve transportation and logistics executives who have an interest in collaborating, networking and sharing their combined expertise and knowledge. He said its focus would be as the industry’s “knowledge place.”
In return for an annual fee, individuals who join the Internet-based community will get access to an online glossary, industry networks, job banks, training programs and career advancement opportunities, according to Campbell.
GlobalCamel.com has entered into an agreement with American Shipper to offer information to its members.
Since 1995, Campbell has been teaching international logistics at Baruch College, City University of New York.
