COSCO orders four more 10,000-TEU ships
COSCO Container Lines has confirmed a shipbuilding contract for four 10,000-TEU containerships from COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co. Ltd. (NACKS).
NACKS is a joint venture between COSCO and Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corp.
As part of the agreement the first vessel of the series will be delivered in 2008 with the other three arriving by the end of the first quarter of 2009.
In February, COSCO ordered four 10,000-TEU ships from Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries for delivery in 2007.
