FEDEX PROMOTES EXECUTIVES TO SENIOR VPS
Daniel J. Mullally has been named senior vice president, worldwide
sales, and R. Larry Brown has been named senior vice president and chief personnel officer
of Memphis-based Federal Express.
Mullally, vice president, global sales and freight services, will
replace William G. Fraine, who leaves the integrated carrier after 20 years to pursue
outside interests.
Mullally joined FedEx in 1995 as managing director, sales planning for
the Air-Ground Freight system division (AGFS). He was promoted to vice president AGFS
marketing and sales in 1998 and to his current
responsibilities earlier this year. Prior to FedEx, he held management
positions with ANR Freight System, Associated Truck Lines and Consolidated Freightways.
Brown, vice president, legal, replaces James A. Perkins who will retire after
25 years with the company. Brown joined FedEx in 1987 and has led the company’s Labor and
Employment Law organization, which ensures that FedEx managers and employees comply with
all labor regulations.
