Brennan nominated for another term as FMC commissioner
President Bush will nominate Joseph E. Brennan to another term as commissioner of the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission.
The nomination includes a five-year term at the commission, expiring Sept. 30, 2008.
Brennan has served at the commission since 1999. Previously, he practiced law in Washington. He also served as a member of the House of Representatives and governor of Maine.
Last year, Brennan completed a high-profile investigation of service contract practices of Transpacific Stabilization Agreement carriers during the 2002-03 season.
