Vanguard moves to bigger Shanghai facility

   Vanguard Logistics Services said this week it has moved to a larger facility in Shanghai due to customer demand.

   “Our customer base in China continues to grow and Vanguard must expand its facilities in order to meet and exceed the needs of our customers,” said Vanguard Chief Executive Officer Charles Brennan.

   The new warehouse has a total area of 35,000 square meters, with a 45-ton reach stacker and 16 units of three-ton and three-ton fork lifts. Monthly consolidation capacity is 2,000 to 2,500 TEUs.

   The new facility is in Pudong, 25 kilometers to the Waigaoqiao port complex and 90 kilometer to the Yangshan deepwater port.
