COLUMBUS, OTHER CARRIERS REVISE INTER-AMERICAN WEST COAST SERVICE

COLUMBUS, OTHER CARRIERS REVISE INTER-AMERICAN WEST COAST SERVICE

Columbus Line, TMM Lines, Lykes Lines and Maruba are reducing from 11 to 10 the number of ships employed in their joint Asia/West Coast of North America/West Coast of South America service.

The service will continue to call at the same ports in North America and Asia, but the port rotation in South America will be rationalized, a spokesman for Columbus Line said.

The round-voyage rotation of the service will be reduced from 77 to 70 days, with its frequency remaining weekly.

The service calls at Hong Kong, Yantian, Shanghai, Busan, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Manzanillo (Mexico) and ports on the west coast of Central and South America.
