APL LOGISTICS EXPANDS INTO VENEZUELA
APL Logistics, the supply chain management arm of Singapore-based NOL Group, has entered into a joint venture to establish operations in Venezuela, its four expansion into Latin America this year.
The joint venture with Group Hersan, a Venezuelan logistics provider, is called APLL/Hersan de Venezuela C.A., and operates in four cities: Puerto Cabello, Cagua, Moron and Barquisimeto.
The Venezuela operation provides warehousing, container-yard management, transportation and cross-border logistics, including customs brokerage services.
Fabio Duque, who managed APL Logistics' operations in Chile, has been named general manager of the venture, based at the Cagua facility.
APL Logistics expanded into Chile, Guatemala and Honduras earlier this year.
