FMC revokes 7 OTI licenses from Nov. 17 show cause order
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has revoked seven ocean transportation intermediary licenses in response to a Nov. 17 show cause order involving 14 companies that had allegedly not filed a report indicating the location of their electronically published tariffs.
Five respondents have since filed their Form FMC-1 and two have surrendered their licenses to operate as non-vessel-operating common carriers while retaining their freight forwarder licenses.
Only one of the 14 named operators, FedEx Supply Chain Services, filed a response to the show cause order, the FMC said. The company has since filed its Form FMC-1.
The FMC has revoked the other seven companies’ OTI licenses for failure to respond to its show cause order: Glad Freight Int’l, Kallista USA, Logis Services of America, Full Circle Maritime Corp., Navilca Int’l. Oceanic Shipping Co., and Stuart Logistics.
