NORFOLK SOUTHERN PLANS MOVE TO NEW OHIO TERMINAL
Norfolk Southern said it will open a new terminal in Maple Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland, on July 2.
The new terminal will replace the railroad's old Cleveland terminal, which will cease operations June 29. Lift operations will stop as of July 9.
The new 70-acre terminal, which will provide more than 360 parking spaces, will initially offer international traffic, as well as doublestack capability in the Cleveland market.
The Norfolk Va.-based railroad said any equipment left at the old terminal after July 9 will be drayed to the new terminal at a cost of $200 to the customer.
