Evergreen hiking U.S.-to-Med rates

   Liner carrier Evergreen has announced that on April 2 it will impose a general rate increase on all commodities from U.S. ports to Europe and the Mediterranean of $150 on 20-foot containers and $200 on 40-foot, 40-foot high cube and 40-foot high cube refrigerated boxes.
   Earlier this month, Evergreen announced an import rate restoration for cargo moving from the Far East and South Africa to the United States, including Puerto Rico. – Chris Dupin
