Meridian IQ outsources contract compliance to Descartes
Meridian IQ, a logistics management company, has contracted with Descartes Systems Group, a provider of on-demand logistics services technology, to use Descartes's Ocean Services sector for contract management.
'This competitive win is a clear validation' of Descartes ocean services support 'for large logistics providers,' said Edward Ryan, general manager of Descartes' global logistics network.
'By outsourcing ocean contract management to us,' companies such as Meridian IQ can 'focus on their core competencies and not have to worry about allocating appropriate and sufficient internal resources to a function where the volume of work fluctuates widely throughout the year,' Ryan explained.
Meridian IQ, part of Yellow Roadway Corp., is based in Overland Park, Kansas. Descartes Systems Group is based in Waterloo, Ontario.
