Philippines to receive $20 million in U.S. rice
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has authorized the shipment of $20 million in U.S. rice to the Philippines.
The purchase includes 60,000 metric tons milled and rough rice in bags or bulk. The contract period runs from Sept. 15 to Sept. 30, and the delivery period is Oct. 6 through March 31, USDA said.
USDA authorized the purchase under the P.L. 480, Title I food aid program.
