Matson names Park VP government relations

   Jones Act liner carrier Matson, Inc. has appointed Ku’uhaku Park to vice president of government and community relations.
   He will be located at the company’s headquarters in Honolulu. 
   Park will be responsible for directing Matson’s government relations and community service activities in Hawaii. He also will lead the company’s efforts to promote and develop the Matson Foundation.
   He was most recently the managing principal of Oni Malie, a Honolulu consulting firm offering government relations, business development and project management services. Prior to that, he was manager of the public affairs group at Watanabe Ing. He also has been government and public affairs manager for the Hawaii division of Horizon Lines, as well marketing manager for Hawaii Family Dental Centers/Hawaii Bio-Waste Systems. Other experience includes serving as marketing director for Westcom Productions, a sports video company in Oregon.
