TRANS-PACIFIC LINES FINALIZES LAUNCH OF NEW SERVICE
TRANS-PACIFIC FINALIZES LAUNCH OF NEW SERVICE
Trans-Pacific Lines, the new transpacific operator, confirmed that it is
finalizing the launch of its service at the end of April.
Negotiations between Philippines-owned Trans-Pacific Lines and intended ports
of call Los Angeles, San Francisco, Busan, Manila, Xiamen, Yantian, and Hong Kong are
being finalized, says Don Grady, TPL’s VP Operations, so the full schedule details will
soon be announced.
The three-ship fixed day fortnightly TPS service matches closely the port
rotation and frequency of Madrigal-Wan Hai. There are also close links in ownership, so
there is obviously some speculation that these two ‘half’-lines will somehow be aiming to
dovetail their schedules together.
