COMMERCE ONE LINKS WITH MICROSOFT, CITIBANK

   Commerce One Inc., based in Pleasanton, Calif., a provider of electronic commerce collaborative services, and Microsoft Corp. have announced three new software solutions to facilitate business done on the Web.

   The Commerce One MarketSite Gateway for BizTalk Framework allows trading partners to connect through electronic marketplaces. The Commerce One MarketSite Connectivity Kit integrates Microsoft BizTalk Server and Microsoft Visual Studio with common business processes.

   Commerce One and Microsoft have also brought out the Microsoft Supplier Enablement Solution, allowing vendors to connect to an e-marketplace.

   In a separate agreement, Commerce One has formed a strategic alliance with Citibank e-Business to offer a financial services solution for electronic marketplaces.

   The solution combines Citibank’s financial services network with the Commerce One MarketSite software application to automate invoice-to-payment processes.

   Baltimore Technologies, Netegrity and SurePay created the new solution, powered by VeriSign.
