PIL, CP Ships end transpacific connection at Vancouver
Pacific International Lines and CP Ships have ended the transpacific section of their joint weekly North America/Asia/Middle East/Indian subcontinent Middle East Express/Asia Americas 2 service by ending calls at Vancouver, British Columbia.
The vessel “Kota Wajar” made the last call at the Canadian port Dec. 10.
The service is reduced from 10 ships to six of about 1,500 TEUs calling Shanghai; Hong Kong; Singapore; Port Kelang; Dubai, Port Rashid; Dammam; Karachi; Mundra; Singapore; Laem Chabang, Thailand; Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
“K” Line, who had previously only taken slots between Asia and the Middle East/Indian subcontinent, continue to take space on the service.
