Cargo volume growth reversed in Hong Kong
Air cargo tonnage throughput at Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals decreased 2.4 percent in January to 145,470 tons, showing a reversal from the previous growth trend.
The airport said the decrease was due to lower cargo demand during the Chinese New Year holidays.
The latest fall in monthly traffic follows a 14.7-percent jump in air cargo for December to 187,700 tons. The growth in volume for 2003 was 5.6 percent year-on-year.
