SCHENKER ABSORBS FORMER GROUP WHOLESALE ACTIVITIES
Schenker, the forwarding and logistics group owned by the German conglomerate Stinnes, has completed the integration of the activities of the former wholesaling division of the conglomerate.
“Last year, Stinnes began refocusing the strategy for its full-line wholesaling division, transforming the division into an international distribution logistics provider for manufacturers,” the German group said.
The wholesaling business is now part of Schenker, which acts as the transportation arm of the Stinnes group. Besides transportation, the other two main business activities of Stinnes are chemicals and materials logistics.
