EVERGREEN STARTS SERVICE FROM PORT EVERGLADES TERMINAL
Evergreen Marine Corp. has agreed to begin weekly cargo service through South Stevedoring's new terminal at Port Everglades, Fla.
The Taiwanese carrier will use the new terminal, Port Everglades' first common-user terminal, for its new service between Florida and Rio Haina in the Dominican Republic.
South Stevedoring has invested about $2 million in developing the terminal, which is expected to generate $200 million in revenue for the port over the next 20 years.
