MPA APPOINTS TWO DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

The Maryland Port Administration has appointed Gene Baily and M. Kathleen Broadwater as deputy executive directors.

Bailey has served as the MPA’s director of operations for about 10 years, managing about 1,500 acres, 24 ship cranes, and 73 buildings. He began his career in the stevedoring business.

Broadwater, recently the MPA’s director of planning and business development, has spent 20 years in the maritime industry. Before joining the MPA in 1996, she was employed with a maritime consulting firm. Broadwater is also credited as the principal architect of the MPA’s 1996 10-year strategic plan.
