Executive Moves: MOL, Ameriquest Transportation and ABS Group

MOL (Canada), Ameriquest Transportation, and ABS Group made senior appointments.

   MOL (Canada) has appointed Allison Watson to sales and customer service manager, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He will focus on Eastern Canada and sales activities for Atlantic Canada. Watson joins MOL after 27 years at NYK Line (Canada) where he served as a district manager of sales and a district manager responsible for the Halifax branch office. Watson also spent five years at March Shipping Ltd.

   Ameriquest Transportation Services has appointed three vice presidents of finance. Gary Griffin was previously vice president of business development for CURE Leasing & Maintenance, a subsidiary of AmeriQuest Business Services, and has more than 34 years of experience in the transportation and truck leasing industry. Mike Williams joined AmeriQuest Transportation Services in 2010 and was promoted to senior sales director in 2014. Brian Benicewicz recently joined AmeriQuest from Cowan Systems.

   ABS Group of Cos. has named Todd Grove as president and chief executive officer. Grove most recently served as senior vice president and chief technology officer for ABS Group’s parent company, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The classification society also appointed Howard Fireman to senior vice president and chief technology officer after 35 years in the Navy.
