Grimaldi Group buys 11.6% of Finnlines shares
The Grimaldi Group Naples has acquired 11.61 percent of shares in Finnlines Plc, parent company of Scandinavian and Baltic carriers Finnlines Cargo Services and Team Lines, for an undisclosed amount.
Finnlines announced to the Helsinki stock exchange June 3 that Grimaldi Compagnia di Navigazione S.p.A has bought 2.74 million shares, representing 6.8 percent of shares and votes, while fellow Grimaldi Group Naples subsidiary Industria Armamento Meridionale S.p.A. has acquired 1.94 million shares, representing 4.81 percent.
Grimaldi is the parent company of transatlantic roll-on/roll-off and container service carrier Atlantic Container Lines.
