UNITED AIRLINES TO SERVE CUSTOMERS OF FREIGHTMATRIX
United Airlines has agreed to become the first service provider for FreightMatrix, the online logistics subsidiary of the i2 technology group.
By working with United, FreightMatrix will provide customers with access to new capabilities for online booking and tracking of air freight, and same-day express service options, i2 said.
Mark Haeussler, director of e-commerce, United NetVentures, said that several of United’s current customers already have established relationships with i2. “By participating, we will be positioned to meet their needs when they choose to use the FreightMatrix platform,” he said.
“The addition of United to the FreightMatrix service portfolio supports our efforts to provide customers with a complete, integrated logistics workflow to increase efficiencies while managing their supply chains,” said Mark Skoda, president and chief executive officer of FreightMatrix.
FreightMatrix, founded in 1999, aims to enable freight forwarders, shippers and marketplace participants to plan logistics activities and select service providers efficiently.
