iLINK DEVELOPS XML STANDARD FOR LOGISTICS
iLink Global, a Chicago-based Internet start-up marketing international logistics services, says it has developed an electronics communications standard for the logistics industry based on the Internet's Extensible Mark-up Language.
XML, a new protocol for sending data via the web, has been designed to allow for quicker and more direct database-to-database communications. Various industries have begun to set standards for XML-based information transfer.
iLink said it has implemented its XML-based logistics communications standards for ComAuction, an online exchange for buying and selling assets and products.
