OOCL Logistics to add electronic customs clearance in Europe
OOCL Logistics said Thursday it will begin offering customs clearance services in Germany and the United Kingdom beginning Jan. 1, with the same service to be offered in Belgium and the Netherlands, beginning April 1.
OOCL's customers will have control over all data transfers to customs and full visibility of all related processes, the company said in a statement. The new electronic customs clearance will also enable import and export customers to operate a more controlled and efficient supply chain, OOCL said.
